Common Bra Fitting Problems and Their Solutions
Most women usually pick the wrong size of bra. It is therefore common that they have bra fitting problems. We have taken look at the most common problems and their viable solutions. We believe that finding a bra means it should provide comfort and support to the wearer.
Problem 1. The back of my bra rides up when I wear it.
Solution: There is a need for you to try a smaller back size. The back should level with the bra. You can check this when you face the mirror sideways and check if the band in front is horizontal with the back. If it is not, then it will likely ride up your back. Consider checking the cup size as well. You may need extra room in the cup so go for another size up so your back size is also adjusted. You may try both of these two solutions and check which one best fits you.
Problem 2. My breasts are falling out below the cup of the bra.
Solution: This poses a problem especially if you are doing a lot of movements. This only indicates that you have the wrong bra size. The cups are too small so breasts don’t stay there properly. Another thing is that the back size may be too big. Go down a back size and check if the ladies stay in place. If not, how about trying out cup size up. Go up to another cup size until you get the correct fit.
Problem 3. My breasts are falling out of the top of the cups.
Solution: This indicates that the cup size is small for your breasts. You need to go up a cup size until you get the right fit. Your back size should stay the same. For example, if you wear 40C and your ladies fall out the top, try 40D or 40DD until you get the correct fit.
Problem 4. The straps of my bra are digging in at my shoulders.
Solution: Many large-busted women encounter this problem. This is because the bra size may not support the breasts properly. Thin straps also give this problem. First, try to go down a back size to see if the bra stays fir, below the bust. When this doesn’t give the solution, try to go up another size. This will provide room for your breasts. Try to look styles which have wide straps since they support better.
Problem 4. The bra straps are falling down.
Solution: Either the straps are too loose or they’re uneven. You can adjust the straps by loosening or tightening them. Try out which one you think you feel more comfortable and make sure that they stay firmly in place.
Problem 5. My underwire bra is digging in at the sides.
Solutions: You may be wearing cup size which may be too small for you. Go up another size and see to it that you are comfortable on your bra size. The extra room in the cup usually does the trick. It is essential you get the right correct fit because underwire bra can be so uncomfortable if you don’t wear the right size.
Problem 6. My underwire bra digs under the bust.
Solution: Is the bra too tight for you? This may be the problem because the correct size must make you feel supported and comfortable. You need to try a bigger back size or go down a cup size. In order for the bra not to dig under the bust, an extra room on the cup must widen the width. For example you have 42E, try wearing 44E or 44DD.
